Friday Classes   

Since the class will focus primarily on bridge beginners, each of the topics described below will be explained while the members are seated at the bridge table to play hands based on the principles given. The eight sessions will cover the basics of bridge fundamentals: bidding, scoring, trump & no-trump contracts, play-of-the-hand, and defensive play.

The cultural context of Bigfoot will be examined in a historical context from an international perspective. The question will be explored as to why the icon of Bigfoot has become so popular in American advertising, films, TV programs, and in social media in spite of the denial of its existence. Reports of actual encounters in Kentucky and the local area will be shared. The course will conclude with a field experience to a forest location where a Bigfoot encounter was reported.

People have used common herbs for millenniums. Students will learn to identify these local plants and how they have been used throughout the centuries.
